Cat and Kitten Rescue is a small, independent, not-for-profit rescue which was set up in Hampshire, UK in 1992 by Helen Farrar (pictured below, at a fundraising stall).

Over the years, we have successfully rescued and rehomed over 2000 cats and kittens, thanks to Helen and a regular group of volunteers who generously give their spare time.

The rescue started off at Chandler's Ford in Hampshire, but evolved to a second site at Winchester.  High quality cat pens (shown, below) at the sites provide every cat passing through with their own spacious, cosy dry area until they find a home.

We finance our work by running fund-raising stalls at numerous events throughout the year, and holding cat food collections at local supermarkets.

Details of all our upcoming events are shown in our 'Events' page.

Please also have a look at our 'How to Help' page, as we really appreciate fellow cat lovers helping out in any way... whether it be donating cat food or goods for our stalls, or volunteering at events.

Our 'Contact Us' page shows how you can get in touch.

Please note that we rehome cats to homes within a short radius of our bases in Chandlers Ford or Winchester, Hampshire.

This is mainly because it enables us to carry out any necessary home visits, and provide any possible back-up and/or advice.
